Bexley Box #31

On July 20th, Haley Brown (and her close friend Claire) delivered Bexley Box #31 to the Topeka Police Department, located at 320 S Kansas Ave in Topeka, Kansas. The Unit Coordinator for the Crime Victims’ Assistance Unit, Dawn Maendele, coordinated this delivery and had officers meet Haley and Claire in the parking lot to carry the Bexley Box inside. The team was then escorted to an area where a group of other law enforcement officers were waiting. Haley shared Jared Bridegan’s story and explained how the Bexley Box was created in memory of him and the experience Bexley Bridegan went through that terrible night. Haley said everyone was humbled and appreciative to receive a Bexley Box in Jared's memory and are blown away by Kirsten's tenacity to help others. They are hopeful that we can place a Box at their County Sheriff's Office, which would help in the more rural areas. At the end, the Topeka PD team gave Haley and Claire a challenge coin and stuffed animal police dog to give to Bexley. Thank you Topeka PD!
