Bexley Box #21

This Bexley Box placement as well as the next both took place on February 16th, 2023 - the one year anniversary of the murder of Jared Bridegan. Knowing that the lead up to this day would be difficult, Kirsten set the goal to deliver at least 16 Bexley Boxes in honor of Jared. With the help of the community and especially the staff at the Saint Johns County Sheriff’s Office, they were able to blow past that goal and successfully place a total of 22 Bexley Boxes by this significant date.

Because of the significance of the date of these next two deliveries, both the St. Augustine Police Department and the St. Augustine Beach Police Department went above and beyond to make it a memorable and welcoming experience for Kirsten, the girls, their family, and friends who were able to attend.

The St. Augustine Police Department had a packed room to welcome the group in and Bexley was happy to learn a “girl cop” was in charge (Chief Jennifer Michaux). Words were shared, tears were shed, and a feeling of community was felt. After this delivery, the group received a police escort to the nearby St. Augustine Beach PD. Details on that delivery on the next blog post :)
